It combines professional invoicing features with post-quantum cryptography — every invoice is digitally signed by default, and can be optionally encrypted for private sharing. ### What is Majik Buwiz? Majik Buwiz (from the Tagalog word buwis, meaning tax) is a professional invoice management app built for freelancers, consultants, and small business owners. It is designed around two core principles: your data stays on your device, and every invoice you issue is cryptographically protected by default. Majik Buwiz is completely free to use — no subscriptions, no hidden fees, no usage limits. ### Your data, your device Majik Buwiz is offline-first. All invoice management, dashboard summaries, PDF exports, and CSV exports work entirely without an internet connection. No Majikah account is required for full local functionality. Internet access is only needed if you choose to use the Invoice Cloud Exchange — the built-in network for sending and receiving invoices with other Majik Buwiz users. ### What works offline vs. online | Feature | Works offline? | Requires Majikah account? | | --- | --- | --- | | Create, edit, and manage invoices | Yes | No | | Sign invoices (Ed25519 + ML-DSA-87) | Yes | No | | Encrypt invoices (ML-KEM-768 + AES-256-GCM) | Yes | No | | Dashboard summary and charts | Yes | No | | Export invoices as PDF | Yes | No | | Export invoices as CSV | Yes | No | | Send invoices via Invoice Cloud Exchange | No | Yes | | Receive invoices via Invoice Cloud Exchange | No | Yes | | Verify invoices in the Exchange via MUID | No | Yes (sender must have MUID) | *Caption: All core features work without an internet connection.* ### Why post-quantum cryptography? Every invoice created in Majik Buwiz is automatically sealed with two independent digital signatures — one using Ed25519 (a widely trusted classical algorithm) and one using ML-DSA-87 (a post-quantum signature algorithm standardized by NIST under FIPS-204). This dual-signature design makes your invoices tamper-proof: if anyone modifies an invoice after you issue it — changing an amount, swapping a recipient, or altering any field — that tampering is immediately detectable. More practically, it protects your business from invoice fraud and impersonation. No one can issue a valid invoice in your name without your private key. > **NOTE:** Signing and encryption are two different protections. Signing proves an invoice came from you and has not been altered — it applies to every invoice automatically. Encryption hides the invoice contents so only the intended recipient can read them — this is optional and used when you need confidentiality. ### Optional encryption for confidential invoices For invoices that require full confidentiality, Majik Buwiz offers an additional encryption layer using ML-KEM-768 key encapsulation and AES-256-GCM symmetric encryption. An encrypted invoice is completely opaque to anyone who does not hold the recipient's private key — including the Majikah relay server itself, which stores only ciphertext it cannot read. All invoices sent through the Invoice Cloud Exchange are automatically upgraded to encrypted-and-signed mode. ### Binding your identity to your invoices Majik Buwiz uses the Majik Key system as its cryptographic identity layer. A Majik Key is a local, seed-phrase-based account that holds your signing and encryption keys. Optionally, you can bind your Majik Key to a Majik Universal ID (MUID) — a public identity profile on the Majikah platform. When you send invoices through the Exchange, your MUID is permanently attached, so recipients can verify that the invoice genuinely came from you and has not been tampered with. ### Feature overview | Area | Features | | --- | --- | | Invoice management | Custom invoice builder, line items, notes, tags, reference attachments | | Tax system | VAT, expanded withholding tax (EWT), percentage-based, additive and withholding tax combinations — totals calculated automatically | | Invoice lifecycle | Draft, Issued, Sent, Paid, Void, and more | | Security | Ed25519 + ML-DSA-87 dual signing on every invoice; optional ML-KEM-768 + AES-256-GCM encryption | | Dashboard | Revenue overview, tax breakdown, overdue alerts, payment time tracking, invoice size analytics | | Exports | PDF export for sharing and printing; CSV export for accounting tools | | Exchange | End-to-end encrypted invoice sending and receiving between Majik Buwiz users | | Batch operations | Multi-select actions with advanced filtering and pagination | | Contacts | Client and business contact records with full tax profile metadata | *Caption: A summary of what Majik Buwiz includes out of the box.* ### Who is Majik Buwiz for? Majik Buwiz is built for freelancers managing independent client billing, consultants handling sensitive engagements, solo entrepreneurs who want financial clarity without cloud dependency, and service providers in privacy-sensitive industries. If you issue invoices and care about the authenticity and privacy of your financial documents, Majik Buwiz is designed for you. ### Platform availability Majik Buwiz is currently available as a native Windows desktop application through the Microsoft Store. It is built with Tauri — a lightweight desktop framework — and uses a fraction of the memory and disk space of typical Electron-based apps. A web app is also in development and will be available at buwiz.majikah.solutions. The app is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license. > **NOTE:** Ready to get started?
