Yes — completely free. No subscriptions, no usage limits, no hidden fees. - What platforms is it available on? Currently available as a native Windows desktop app on the Microsoft Store. A web app is in development. - Do I need an internet connection? No — all invoice management, dashboard, PDF export, and CSV export work fully offline. Internet is only required for the Invoice Cloud Exchange. - Do I need a Majikah account? No — only if you want to use the Invoice Cloud Exchange. Offline use requires only a Majik Key. - Can I use the same Majik Key I use in Majik Message or Majik Signature? Yes — all Majikah products share the same Majik Key format and SDK. Your existing key works in Majik Buwiz without any changes. - Is Majik Buwiz open source? Yes — released under the Apache 2.0 license. To use a different key, delete the current one and import the new one. ### Security - Are my invoices stored in the cloud? No — invoices are stored locally on your device by default. The only time invoice data reaches a server is when you explicitly send it via the Invoice Cloud Exchange, and even then the server only stores encrypted ciphertext it cannot read. - Does Majik Buwiz ever see my private keys? No — private keys are generated and stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server under any circumstances. - What does signing an invoice actually protect against? Signing makes every invoice tamper-evident and forgery-resistant. It protects against invoice fraud — no one can alter an amount, swap a recipient, or issue an invoice in your name without your private key. If a signed invoice is modified, verification fails immediately. - What is the difference between signing and encryption? Signing proves an invoice is authentic and unaltered — it is applied to every invoice automatically. Encryption hides the invoice contents so only the intended recipient can read them — it is optional. - What is post-quantum cryptography and why does it matter? Post-quantum algorithms are designed to remain secure against attacks from both classical computers and future quantum computers. Majik Buwiz uses NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithms (ML-DSA-87 for signing, ML-KEM-768 for encryption) alongside classical algorithms (Ed25519, AES-256-GCM) so your invoices are protected today and remain protected as computing technology evolves. - Has Majik Buwiz been formally audited? No formal third-party security audit has been conducted. The cryptographic implementation uses the @noble/post-quantum and @stablelib libraries. No FIPS compliance certification is claimed. - What happens if I lose my seed phrase? If you lose your seed phrase and all backup formats (.json file, .png file), there is no recovery path. Your signing identity and all data tied to that key are permanently inaccessible. Always store your seed phrase in a secure offline location. - Is my passphrase stored anywhere? No — the passphrase is never stored. Only the Argon2id-derived key used to encrypt your key material is kept locally. The passphrase must be entered each time you open the app. ### Exchange - Does the recipient need Majik Buwiz to receive an invoice? Yes — both sender and recipient must have Majik Buwiz (or a compatible Majikah product) and a valid Majik Universal ID to use the Exchange. - Can the Majikah relay read my invoices? No — all invoices are encrypted before leaving your device. The relay stores only ciphertext and has no access to invoice contents. - How long does the relay keep my invoice? Up to 30 days from the sent date. After that it is automatically deleted. Save received invoices to your local database before the window closes. - Does sending an invoice via the Exchange trigger payment? No — the Exchange is strictly a document transmission layer. No money moves through Majik Buwiz. Payment is handled separately between the parties. - Do I need a verified (KYC) MUID to use the Exchange? No — an unverified MUID is sufficient for full Exchange functionality. KYC verification adds a badge to your public profile but is not required for sending or receiving. - Can I send an invoice to someone not in my Contacts? No — the recipient must be in your Contacts directory with their full key material imported (via .png contact card or invite key string). Encryption requires their ML-KEM-768 public key. - What if I send an invoice to the wrong person? Void the invoice and contact the recipient directly. The relay copy will be deleted after 30 days. If the recipient has already accepted and saved it locally, coordinate with them directly to disregard it. ### Exporting - Can I customize the PDF invoice template? No — Majik Buwiz uses a fixed professional template. Custom branding, logos, and layout changes are not currently supported. - Can I export multiple invoices as a single PDF? No — each invoice produces its own PDF file. Batch PDF export generates individual files per invoice. - Why are some columns blank in my CSV export? Encrypted invoices that were locked (not decrypted) at export time have blank financial columns. Decrypt those invoices and re-export for complete data. - Can I import CSV invoices from another app? No — CSV is export-only. Majik Buwiz does not support importing invoice data from external CSV files. - Is the CSV compatible with Excel? Yes — the CSV is UTF-8 encoded and uses standard comma delimiters compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and most accounting tools. - Can I export my entire invoice database? Yes — use the batch export feature with no filters applied to export all invoices at once as CSV, or export individual PDFs in batch.
