First you publish the invoice — signing it and preparing it for transmission. Then you send it — transmitting the encrypted envelope to the recipient via the Majikah relay. Both stages can happen in a single action, or you can publish first and send later from the Exchange tab outbox. > **NOTE:** Before sending, confirm that: your Majik Key is unlocked, you have an active internet connection, your Majikah account is logged in with a valid MUID, and the recipient is in your Contacts directory with their full key material (ML-KEM public key required for encryption). ### How to send an invoice 1. **Prepare and sign the invoice** *Invoice must be signed before it can be sent* - Open the invoice from My Invoices and ensure it is complete — all line items, taxes, parties, and dates filled in. - Sign the invoice using your Majik Key. This transitions it to Issued status. - Signing is required before the Exchange will accept the invoice for transmission. 2. **Publish to the Exchange** *Exchange tab → Outbox → Publish* - From the invoice actions, select Send via Exchange, or navigate to the Exchange tab and select the invoice from the outbox. - Majik Buwiz automatically upgrades the invoice to encrypted-and-signed mode using the recipient's ML-KEM-768 public key from your Contacts directory. - The invoice is encrypted locally before leaving your device. The relay server never sees the plaintext. 3. **Transmit to the recipient** *Invoice is sent to the Majikah relay* - Confirm the recipient and select Send. - Majik Buwiz transmits the encrypted envelope to the Majikah relay, addressed to the recipient's MUID. - The invoice status transitions to Sent in your local database. - The relay retains the encrypted envelope for up to 30 days. The recipient must sync and save it locally within that window. ### The outbox The Exchange tab outbox shows all invoices you have published or sent. From here you can view delivery status, resend if needed, and see which invoices are approaching the 30-day relay deletion window. Invoices marked as Sent show a sent timestamp and the relay expiry date. ### Recalling a sent invoice You can void a sent invoice before the recipient accepts it. Voiding marks the invoice as Void in your local database and signals the relay to flag the envelope. The relay copy is still subject to the 30-day deletion window regardless of void status. Once the recipient has accepted and stored the invoice locally, recalling via the relay is not possible — coordinate directly with the recipient. > **NOTE:** Sending an invoice through the Exchange transmits the document only — it does not initiate any payment. Payment is handled separately between you and the recipient by whatever method you agree on.
