# Dashboard Overview

## Overview
The Majik Buwiz dashboard aggregates your entire invoice database into a real-time financial summary — revenue, tax breakdown, payment status, overdue alerts, and recipient analytics — all computed locally from your invoices without any server involvement.

### What the dashboard does

The Dashboard tab computes financial statistics across your entire local invoice database in real time. All calculations are performed locally on your device — no data is sent to any server. The dashboard is read-only: it summarizes your invoices but does not allow editing from this view. Encrypted invoices that have not been decrypted in the current session contribute their public summary figures (total amount, status, dates) to the dashboard counts and amounts, but their detailed financial breakdown (tax, discount, line items) is excluded until decrypted.

### Summary cards

| Total Invoices | Count of all invoices in your local database |
| Gross Revenue | Sum of grand totals across all invoices |
| Amount Collected | Sum of all recorded proof-of-payment amounts |
| Outstanding Balance | Sum of amount due across all accessible (non-locked) invoices |
| Paid | Count and total amount of invoices with status Paid |
| Partial | Count and total of invoices with partial payment recorded |
| Overdue | Count and total of invoices past their due date with unpaid balance |
| Draft | Count of unsigned draft invoices |
| Void | Count of voided invoices |
| Unsigned | Count of invoices with no signatures attached |
| Encrypted (Locked) | Count of encrypted invoices not yet decrypted this session |
| Due Soon | Count of invoices due within the next 7 days |

### Tax & financial breakdown

| Metric | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Tax Collected (Output Tax) | Sum of all additive tax amounts (VAT, GST, etc.) across accessible invoices |
| Withholding Total | Sum of all withholding tax amounts (EWT/CWT) across accessible invoices |
| Net Payable | Sum of grand totals minus withholding tax — the actual cash you receive |
| Discount Given | Total discount amounts across all invoices |
| Effective Tax Rate | Weighted average additive tax rate across your invoice population |
| Tax Breakdown by Type | Per-tax-type breakdown — e.g. VAT total, EWT total, with rates |

### Invoice sizing analytics

| Average Invoice Value | Mean grand total across all invoices |
| Median Invoice Value | Middle value of sorted invoice amounts |
| Largest Invoice | Highest single invoice grand total |
| Smallest Invoice | Lowest single invoice grand total |
| Average Days to Payment | Mean days between issue date and first recorded payment |

### Recipient analytics

| Top Recipients | Up to 10 recipients ranked by total invoice amount — includes count and amount paid per recipient |
| Unique Recipient Count | Number of distinct recipients across all invoices |
| Unique Issuer Count | Number of distinct issuers (relevant for multi-identity setups) |

### Temporal metrics

| Metric | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Oldest Invoice Date | Issue date of the earliest invoice in your database |
| Newest Invoice Date | Issue date of the most recent invoice |
| Due Soon Count | Number of invoices due within the next 7 days |
| Overdue Alerts | Invoices past their due date with outstanding balance |

> **NOTE:** Encrypted invoices that are Locked (not decrypted in the current session) contribute their public summary figures only to the dashboard — total amount, status, and dates. Their tax amounts, withholding totals, discounts, and line-item detail are excluded from all financial breakdowns until the invoice is decrypted. Decrypt your encrypted invoices for a complete financial picture.
