They are always added by importing the other party's public key data in one of two supported formats. The key material establishes the contact's identity — you can then fill in or update all non-cryptographic fields (name, TIN, address, tax classification) after import. ### Method 1 — Import a .png contact card 1. **Receive the contact card** *A .png file exported from any Majikah product* - Ask your contact to export their contact card from their Majikah product (Majik Buwiz, Majik Message, or Majik Signature). The export produces a .png image that encodes their public key and basic party metadata. - Save the .png file to your device. 2. **Import in Majik Buwiz** *Contacts tab → Add contact → Import .png* - Open the Contacts tab and select Add Contact. - Choose Import contact card (.png) and select the file. - Majik Buwiz will extract the public key and any metadata encoded in the image and create the contact record. - Review and complete any additional fields (TIN, address, tax classification) if they were not included in the card. ### Method 2 — Import via invite key string 1. **Receive the invite key string** *A text string encoding the contact's public key* - Ask your contact to share their invite key string from their Majikah product. This is a compact text representation of their public key and basic identity. - The string can be shared via any channel — email, chat, or copied directly. 2. **Import in Majik Buwiz** *Contacts tab → Add contact → Paste invite key* - Open the Contacts tab and select Add Contact. - Choose Import via invite key and paste the string. - Majik Buwiz will parse the key and create the contact record. - Complete any additional tax profile fields as needed. ### Editing a contact After a contact is added, all non-cryptographic fields are freely editable. Open the contact from the Contacts tab and update any of the following: legal name, trade name, nature of business, TIN, tax ID type, tax exemption status, tax profile classification (taxpayer type, VAT type, percentage tax, withholding agent, default ATC), address, email, phone, and website. Cryptographic fields — the public key, ML-KEM key, fingerprint, and key signatures — are immutable and cannot be changed after import. If a contact's key changes, they must share a new contact card and you must add them as a new contact. > **NOTE:** Editing a contact's tax profile does not update any existing invoices that used that contact as a recipient. Invoice recipient data is snapshotted at invoice creation time. Only new invoices created after the edit will reflect the updated contact details. ### Blocking a contact Contacts can be marked as blocked, which prevents them from being selected as a recipient on new invoices. Blocking a contact does not delete them or affect any existing invoices. You can unblock a contact at any time.
